Guide
How much does a contractor website cost in San Antonio?
Short answer: anywhere from about $20 a month to $10,000 or more. Here's what each option really gets you, so you can pick with your eyes open. Prices are typical ranges, not quotes, and they change.
Do-it-yourself builders: about $20 to $50 a month
Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy and similar. The cheapest in dollars, the most expensive in your time. You pick a template, write the text, take the photos and fix things when they break. Fine if you enjoy it and have evenings free. Plenty of owners start one and never finish it.
Monthly marketing packages: often $250 to $600+ a month
Local marketing companies and directories bundle a website with listings, ads or "SEO". Some are good. Watch for 12-month or longer contracts, setup fees, a site you don't own when you leave, and templates shared with hundreds of other businesses. Ask in writing: who owns the domain and the site if I cancel?
One-time custom build: often $1,500 to $5,000 (agencies $5,000 to $15,000+)
A freelancer or agency builds it, you pay upfront, and it's yours. The catch is afterwards: changes are billed by the hour (often $75 to $150), hosting and security are on you, and when a form quietly breaks, nobody is watching.
Where Web for the Trades fits
A custom, phone-first site with $0 upfront and a monthly plan: $200 (one page), $300 (full site) or $450 (with instant quotes, review requests and Google profile care). Changes are included: you text me, it's done. 6 months minimum, then month to month, and the site is yours after 6 months. If you'd rather pay once, there's an $800 build you host yourself.
What actually matters, whatever you pick
It loads fast on a phone. Call and Text are one tap away. Your real reviews and photos are up front. Someone keeps the forms working and answers when you need a change. And you own your domain name: always register it in your own business's name.
